Brother announced its latest color laser printer series, which features four products also known as multifunction printers (MFCs) and laser printers, designed for small- to medium-sized business applications. In addition to HP’s competitive color laser printer offerings, Brother’s series will feature long-lasting products designed to withstand everyday use and extended lifetimes, equipped with durable components built into the equipment.
The Brother colour Laser Printer Series includes two printers, the HL-8570CDW and the HL-8430CDW. The HL-8570CDW is a digital printer, whereas the HL-8430CDW is a multifunction device that combines color printing, faxing, and copying into a single unit. These are the latest model updates to Brother’s current product offering for color laser printers.
The HL-8570CDW and HL-8430CDW come with super-high-yield toner cartridges; select models are capable of printing up to 10,000 pages per cartridge. By utilising super-high-yield toner cartridges, Brother will have extended toner replacement intervals, reducing both the maintenance workload required to service customers and the amount of consumable waste generated by frequent toner and other consumable use in a laser printer.
Brother has performed internal durability testing of the HL-8570CDW and HL-8430CDW via a 7-year usage scenario, using both accelerated thermal aging and repeated operation tests on high-use components such as control panels, hinges, covers, etc.
The HL-8570CDW and HL-8430CDW have also been designed to be smaller in size compared to their predecessors, providing front access to the entire series. Both toner replacement, front paper feed access, and front output access are featured across all models in this series. With only a small amount of space available in an office with high colour printing usage, the ease of installation is significantly increased.
The printing speeds of the HL-8570CDW and HL-8430CDW have also improved; all models in this series support the same-speed colour and monochrome printing up to 31 pages per minute. The time to first-page output of the HL-8570CDW and HL-8430CDW is at least five seconds faster than previous generations of Brother color printers. All models feature large touchscreen LCDs, and the flagship MFC-L8970CDW has a large 7-inch color LCD that offers higher visibility and ease of operation.
In addition, Brother will continue to expand its product range, with a greater focus on developing durable, long-lasting products for businesses across numerous industry segments, and will provide innovative solutions that enable greater sustainability and environmentally responsible printing options.
