    Important Handling & Installation Tips

    The Brother Drum Unit DR-2350 (DR2350): The High-Yield, Crisp and Professional Quality Print.
    If your documents printed with Brother's laser printers are showing shadowing, smudges, and/or faded lettering, these indications are likely that the drum unit has ceased to function properly at the time of printing. The drum unit is an integral part of the imaging system of the laser printer; hence, a bad drum will adversely affect not only the way you print but also the quality of the printed documents, disrupting workflow and productivity.

    The DR-2350 (DR2350) drum unit is uniquely designed to restore your Brother laser printer to optimal printing condition with its innovative drum-to-toner separation design. This allows for the replacement of the drum separately from the toner cartridge, which is ideal for saving on the total cost of ownership and optimising efficiency in printing. The DR-2350 (DR2350) has an approximate yield of 12,000 pages and is an excellent choice for office and home office.

    Compatible Printer Models:

    This drum unit is fully compatible with the following Brother models:

    • HL Series: HL-2260, HL-2260D, HL-2560DN
    • DCP Series: DCP-7080, DCP-7080D, DCP-7180DN
    • MFC Series: MFC-7380, MFC-7480D, MFC-7880DN
    Required Toner Cartridges:

    Please note that this is a drum unit only. It requires the following Brother toner cartridges to function (sold separately):

    • TN-2312 (Standard Yield)
    • TN-2325 (High Yield)

    Caution: The drum unit is a highly sensitive optical component. Please handle it with extreme care to avoid permanent damage.
    1. 1 Avoid Direct Light:
      Do not expose the green photosensitive drum roller to direct sunlight or strong room light for extended periods. Light exposure can ruin the coating and cause print defects.
    2. 2 Do Not Touch the Surface:
      Never touch the drum roller's surface with your bare hands. Skin oils can cause persistent spots and streaks on your prints.
    3. 3 Easy Installation:
      • Open the front cover of your Brother printer.
      • Pull out the drum and toner cartridge assembly.
      • Press the green lock lever to separate the old toner cartridge from the old drum unit.
      • Unpack the new DR-2350 drum unit. Gently slide the green cleaning tab back and forth a few times to clean the corona wire.
      • Insert your toner cartridge into the new drum unit until it clicks securely into place.
      • Slide the assembly back into the printer, close the cover, and print a test page.
