    Important Handling & Installation Tips

    While using a Pantum BP5100 or Pantum BM5100 printer to print documents, you may notice that your documents appear with faded print, vertical lines, or the appearance of smudges on your documents. If you see these types of printing results, it is most likely due to the drum unit being out of operation. The drum unit is the primary component of your printer's imaging system, and if it becomes worn out, it can dramatically affect the quality of your documents and the effectiveness of your daily operations.
    To help you to replace your drum unit, we offer the DL-5120 (DL5120) Drum Unit that has been specifically designed to restore the performance of your Pantum high-speed printer. This smart design of the drum unit allows you to easily separate the drum from the toner cartridge, providing you with maximum printing efficiency and significantly reducing the overall cost of printing over time. Additionally, this drum unit has a fantastic yield of up to 30,000 pages, making it the ideal solution for the busy office and high-volume printing environments.

    1. Avoid Direct Light: Do not expose the photosensitive drum roller to direct sunlight or strong room light for extended periods. Light exposure can ruin the coating and cause print defects.
    2. Do Not Touch the Surface: Never touch the drum roller's surface with your bare hands. Skin oils can cause persistent spots and streaks on your prints.
    3. Easy Installation:
      • Open the front cover of your Pantum printer.
      • Pull out the drum and toner cartridge assembly.
      • Press the release lever/button to separate the old toner cartridge from the old drum unit.
      • Unpack the new DL-5120 drum unit and remove all protective packaging.
      • Insert your toner cartridge into the new drum unit until it clicks securely into place.
      • Slide the assembly back into the printer, close the cover, and print a test page.
